Around 24,000 students study at Birmingham City University from over 80 countries. The School of Computing and Digital Technology are delivering work on the health of the forest research area by utilising robotic forest rangers and unmanned air vehicles for the necessary data gathering. This data gathering process will reflect the health of the forest through such indicators as: trees, crown condition, quality of the soil etc.
